In short
- The marketing pages on ibidlogistics.com set no cookies and run no analytics or advertising scripts. That is why there is no cookie banner.
- The site remembers one thing, your light-or-dark theme choice, and only after you click the toggle.
- The application stores a sign-in token and your workspace selection so you stay signed in.
- Google Maps, embedded in the application, may set cookies governed by Google's own policy.
1. What cookies and browser storage are
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep and send back on later visits. Browser storage (localStorage) is a similar mechanism where a site keeps values in your browser without sending them on every request. Both can be inspected and cleared from your browser's settings. This policy covers both.
2. The website
The public pages of ibidlogistics.com (home, platform, analytics, who it's for, FAQ, contact and these legal pages) set no cookies, first-party or third-party. They load no analytics, advertising or social-media scripts.
| Name | Type | Set when | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|---|
ibl-theme | localStorage, first-party | Only when you click the theme toggle | Remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme, so the page does not flash the wrong one on your next visit | Until you clear it or switch back |
The site's fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Fetching a font tells Google's servers your IP address, as any web request does, but Google Fonts does not set cookies.
3. The application
Once you sign in to the iBidLogistics application, at /splash and beyond, your browser or the mobile app stores the following so you stay signed in and land in the right workspace.
| What | Type | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sign-in token | localStorage, first-party | Proves to the server that you have signed in, so every request does not need a new one-time passcode | When you sign out, or when the token expires |
| Workspace selection | localStorage, first-party | Your user type and the company, branch or transporter you are working in, plus your default landing page | When you sign out |
| Theme choice | localStorage, first-party | As on the website | Until cleared |
| Push-notification token (mobile app) | Device storage | Lets the notification service deliver alerts to your device | When the app is uninstalled or notifications are turned off |
These are strictly necessary for the application to work; without them you cannot stay signed in.
4. Third-party services
The application embeds Google Maps to show routes, stops and vehicle positions. When a map loads, Google may set cookies on its own domains under Google's cookie policy. We do not control those cookies, and they are not set on the public website, only on the map screens inside the application.
No other third party sets cookies through the Services.
5. How to control them
- Theme: click the toggle again, or clear site data for ibidlogistics.com in your browser.
- Sign-in token and workspace: sign out of the application, or clear site data. You will need a new one-time passcode next time.
- Google Maps cookies: block third-party cookies in your browser. Maps will still display.
- Push notifications: turn them off in your device's notification settings for the iBidLogistics app.
Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and site storage from its settings or preferences menu.
6. Changes
If we ever add analytics or any other tracking to the website, this page will be updated first and a consent control added where the law requires one. The date at the top tells you when it last changed.
